Adult Facility-Based Services
Currently the Ashtabula DD provides services to approximately 200 adults with developmental disabilities in our county at Ash/craft Industries.
Ash/Craft Industries provides vocational skills training and employment by contracting with many local companies for light assembly and packaging work. These jobs are subject to the competitive bidding process. Individuals are paid for the work. Payroll taxes are deducted from each paycheck, making these adults taxpaying members of our community. All income derived, directly benefits individuals with developmental disabilities through wages, supplies and equipment. Ash/Craft also provides non-vocational day services for individuals for whom work is not a high priority. These services enable individuals to function to their best abilities. Nursing services are available on-site, and Health and Wellness classes are available.
